ABOUT ME

I'm a social anthropologist and film maker, specialized in media anthropology, youth, and migration. I thought visual and media anthropology in different universities and developed a media anthropology curriculum at the Institute of Social Anthropology, University of Bern, (co-)directed several ethnographic documentaries, authored and edited various books on youth, media and migration. After a position as a professor at the University of Teacher Education PHBern, Switzerland, I'm currently  working as an independent film maker and associate researcher at the Institute of Social Anthropology, University of Bern.
